AdmissionsWhen can I visit the school? You are always welcome to tour the campus, but you will need to make an appointment to be sure one of the admission staff is available to meet with you. Before acceptance, we require that we meet and interview the student as well as a parent or guardian.
Dunedin Academy has a rolling enrollment, therefore we will accept students during the regular school year. As far as fall registration and enrollment goes - because first-round decisions for available spaces are made in mid-March, we recommend that you begin the process as soon as possible. All applicants that apply by March 1 are considered equally, regardless of when the application was submitted.
Call the school at 727-733-9148 and ask to have an information packet be sent to you? If you have particular questions or need further assistance, we will be more than happy to assist you. You may call directly at 727-580-2042.
Once you have filled out the required paperwork and had an interview with someone on the admission staff, a decision will be made. If the committee determines that your child would have a successful experience at The Academy, then based on the number of available spaces, you will be told that your child has been accepted, or you will be given a waitpool acceptance. Waitpool means that your child is an acceptable candidate, and if a space becomes available, your child will be called to come join our Academy family. Because Tampa Bay is a growing area with families being transferred in and out, we usually are able to grant admission to a number of applicants from the waitpool, although we may not know until the summer.
If new students are looking for financial assistance they would need to contact us. Dunedin Academy does accept several state funded scholarship programs, for more information please contact us. |
